About
Calderdale Stories is a collection of discussions highlighting grassroots actions to overcome local challenges both in the face of and prior to the recent pandemic, that also have relevance to global problem solving.
Physical health and immunity have been primary topics of the past year as we have moved through the COVID-19 crisis, but we have also been thrust into multiple challenges environmentally and socially, with mental, emotional wellbeing, diversity and inclusion as key topics. In a whole new way, these challenges have united everyone in a shared experience of restriction as well as collective opportunity.
Collecting inspiring stories has reminded us of the importance of and power in storytelling to a wide audience in order to influence, inspire and create. Thus this has started a new ball rolling, and here begins a ‘learning hub’ in its infancy and germination; one that can connect stories, start new and meaningful partnerships, projects and ideas; in a bid to stir up local action and catalyse even more community resilience and solutions at the grassroots.
Calderdale is and should be an inspiration to all. Let's make it happen together.
